Research

Includem has always put a high priority on evaluating its effectiveness. Includem's in-house research team ensures monitoring and evaluation findings are used to evaluate our effectiveness and inform service development. In addition to commissioning external research, the team coordinates and develops evaluation tools, analyses and reports findings, and ensures all parts of the organisation are sufficiently skilled and resourced to cope with information demands.

Our regular monitoring system records the level of service provided to each young person and their progress in key areas of their lives including offending, behaviour, education, employment, living arrangements, family, personal/social relationships, alcohol and drugs issues and health. In addition, young people's views of their own progress are sought at 6-monthly evaluation interviews.

Includem gives every young person the opportunity to express their opinions about the services being provided to them. Views are sought using a specially designed online survey which asks young people to rate the quality of different aspects of service they are receiving and to suggest service improvements.
