SPECIALIST FOSTER CARERS
Based in Glasgow
Salary: £24,049 - £31,453 per annum


(Plus allowances when you have a placement)


Includem is a dynamic not-for-profit Scottish Charity dedicated to redressing the social exclusion of young people.  We are currently looking for Foster Carers who can provide a high quality family placement to a young person aged 11 to 18 years.  Working as part of a professional team you will receive: 
• A full time salary
• A maintenance allowance when you have a young person placed you with
• Access to 24 hour management support
• Regular supervision
• Relevant training
• Access to a pension scheme

We are a unique service in Scotland as we are the only agency who employs foster carers on a full time contract. We are keen to hear from you if you are interested in fostering, are understanding and patient and have experience of working with children or young people with challenging behaviour. You would need to have a spare bedroom, and preferably have no children under 18 living with you.  You and your family would undergo an assessment which would take about four to six months.

MENTORS (Sessional Basis)

Salary: £8.66 per hour

 

Mentors are an integral part of our scaffolding of support in delivering high quality services to young people who have been involved in offending behaviour.  As a Mentor you can work days to suit you and these can vary depending on your individual circumstances. In return we will pay a competitive sessional rate of £8.66 per hour plus expenses.

 

 

Mentors are required to work as part of the team by working to support our community teams with activity-based work as part of the young person’s care plan.   We are looking for committed, enthusiastic people with life experience, child-centred values and flexibility to be part of the Includem Scaffold of Intensive Support.
