Sessional Work – Mentors

£8.71 per hour

Please note that there are no available vacancies in any of our service areas, i.e. Glasgow, Clydebank, Fife, Alloa and Dundee, although we will accept and hold applications in file for 6 months.  We will contact applications if a mentor vacancy becomes available in their area.

This key role requires our sessional workers to provide assistance and support as part of the intensive support and supervision programme to vulnerable young people who place themselves at risk, and often excluded from the community.  We also provide support to their families as part of our intensive support package.  Mentors build sustainable trust, respectful professional relationships which encourage support and demonstrate commitment to young people and their families.  Mentors will also be asked to document contact visits to inform the care plan manager of progress in terms of the objectives set.

Applicants must be committed to work as part of a team to apply the Includem model to some of Scotland’s most vulnerable young people.  It is also crucial that mentors have the ability to work flexible hours which will include evening or weekend work, depending on your availability and Includem’s work levels.  It is desirable that applicants hold a full driving licence and have access to a car for business purposes.
