Includem provides a coordinated range of services to a wide range of young people

Includem work to improve the lives of troubled young people in communities in Edinburgh and the Lothians, Glasgow and the West, Lanarkshire, Tayside and Fife.

They work in partnership with local authorities, families and carers, among others.

Our services are based on our relationship-focused core model and our 8 core elements. They include:

  • Home Support Service to prevent young people in vulnerable families becoming involved in more formal measures of care
  • Intensive support as part of an Intensive Support and Monitoring Service (ISMS) package
  • Planned through-care intensive programmes, tailored for the individual young person to support the transition from residential or secure care back into the community
  • Short-term provision of alternative homes, 20 residential placements in and around Glasgow, Fife and Tayside, fully staffed by Includem, to support young people at a time of acute crisis.
  • Crisis resource services offering tailored wraparound services for high risk and vulnerable young people, in special cases up to 24 hours a day continuous community-based support and supervision
  • Intensive support projects for extremely vulnerable young women
  • Specialist fostering services – with foster carers who understand the needs of high risk and very challenging teenagers
  • Specialist support packages for young people at highest risk, contributing to multi-agency protection arrangements (MAPPA)

  • Restorative justice approaches integrated into our core model
  • Relapse prevention support
