Quality Assurance Standards

A key focus of our quality assurance standards is on the management and prevention of unnecessary risks and mistakes.

Our standards provide a measure against which we assess ourselves and demonstrate improvement in the quality of our services to young people, stakeholders and our staff.

We promote a culture of continuous improvement and best practice through inspection (performance audit and self-assessment) and review of policies and procedures.

Our standards enable stakeholders to understand what quality of service they are entitled to and provide the opportunity for them help define and shape the quality of services we provide.

We are members of Quality Scotland and are committed to achieving the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Excellence Model. In addition to the EFQM, we are assessing the strategic benefits of membership of the Public Sector Improvement Framework (PSIF). The PSIF promotes a holistic approach to continuous improvement by bringing together a number of organisational improvement tools, including the EFQM, the Charter Mark and the Investors in People standard.
